Dialog Axiata has launched Dialog Pay, an integrated platform within the MyDialog App that combines connectivity, payments, and financial services, supporting the Government’s Lanka QR Payment Promotion Program and advancing Sri Lanka’s digital economy.
Designed to accelerate digital payment adoption and promote financial inclusion, Dialog Pay enables customers to manage payments and access financial services seamlessly through one platform, making digital transactions a more convenient part of everyday life. Built on one of Sri Lanka’s largest digitally enabled merchant ecosystems, Dialog Pay facilitates secure Lanka QR payments at more than 100,000 retail outlets across the country, including supermarkets, restaurants, fashion retailers, electronics stores, health-care providers, and thousands of neighborhood businesses. The platform offers customers a convenient and secure way to make everyday purchases while helping merchants par-ticipate in Sri Lanka’s growing digital economy. As part of the launch, Dialog has rebranded Genie as Dialog Pay, reflecting the evolution of its digital payments platform into a broader digital financial ecosystem.
Available through both the Dialog Pay App and the MyDialog App, customers can activate the service using their eZ Cash account or by linking their preferred bank account. The platform enables users to make Lanka QR pay-ments, transfer funds, access a digital wallet, open savings accounts and fixed deposits, and apply for loans powered by Dialog Finance, eliminating the need to switch between multiple applications for con-nectivity and financial services. To encourage greater adoption, customers making eligible Lanka QR payments through Dialog Pay will receive complimentary Dialog data rewards, creating added value while promoting regular use of digital payments.
Supun Weerasinghe, Group Chief Executive, Dialog, said the company’s role extends beyond providing connectivity to empowering Sri Lankan lives and enterprises through technology. He noted that Dialog Pay makes digital payments and financial services simpler, more accessible, and rewarding while supporting the country’s digital economy. He also acknowledged the Government of Sri Lanka, the Ministry of Digital Economy, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, LankaPay, and the company’s partners for their leadership and collaboration in advancing Sri Lanka’s digital transformation.
