With the festive season ap- proaching, Kandy City Centre (KCC) took the initiative of spreading the joy of Christmas with the traditional cake mixing ceremony. The Christmas cake mixing ceremony was held at the World Spice Restaurant for the fifth consecutive year. The event was graced by Chief Guest Thusitha Wijayasena, Chairman, KCC and his wife, Swarna Wijayasena. The event was attended by the team of KCC, including chefs and executive chefs from all the restaurants, and managers from the outlets at the mall as well as reverend fathers from the National Seminary of Our Lady of Lanka (Ampitiya). It was the team spirit that brought together the festive cheer. Rich and aromatic ingredients such as black currants, raisins, cherries, cashews, and many more were displayed in the form of Santa’s face to make a 150kg of traditional Christmas cake. The baked Christmas cake together with a delicious array of 40 varieties of Christmas goodies will be available from December 15 till 25. The selection will include a variety of Christmas cakes, Breudher, ginger cookies, macaroons, pudding and more will be on display for those to enjoy the festive season with family and friends.
