“Today, I am exporting spices to several countries, thanks to the assistance I received from the BOC Youth Loan program,” he said, reflecting on help entrepreneurial journey. As a flagship initiative from Sri Lanka’s leading bank, the program has supported over 10,000 aspiring business owners, providing financial capital and strategic guidance.
Anjana, whose company produces 14 spice-based products, emphasizes that determination leads to success.
The pivotal moment for him came with the BOC Youth Loan, which offered funding at a competitive seven percent interest rate, allowing him to scale production and meet international demand.
He highlighted the bank staff’s exceptional support in his journey, which helped him successfully fulfill a significant cinnamon export order to the U.K. Anjana encourages young entrepreneurs to consider the program: “If you dream of starting a business, your first stop should be the Bank of Ceylon.
