People’s Leasing & Finance’s Islamic Finance Unit Al-Safa, made history by winning 11 awards at the Sri Lanka Islamic Banking and Finance Industry (SLIBFI) Awards 2025, setting a new benchmark for excellence among banks and non-bank financial institutions in the country. Safra Firdhouse received Silver for Islamic Banker/Employee of the Year, while Ahamed Fahmy Mohamed Faiz won gold for Branch Executive of the Year. Salman Marzook and A H I Munthas were recognized with bronze and merit awards for Rising Personality of the Year, respectively. PLC Al-Safa’s Puttalam Al-Safa Branch excelled, winning gold for both Digital Marketing Campaign of the Year and Islamic Finance Branch of the Year, as well as silver for several categories, including Islamic Finance Window/Unit of the Year, and Bronze for Islamic Finance Entity of the Year.
