Ookla has once again crowned Mobitel with the Speedtest Award 2019, for proving the fastest Mobile Network in Sri Lanka. Ookla, the company behind Speedtest®, is the global leader in fixed broadband and mobile network testing applications, data and analysis. Mobitel emerged victorious in all categories with a Speed Score of 27.73 during the period of Q1- Q2 2019.

The results are based on analysis by Ookla of average download speeds of 4G LTE tests taken in Sri Lanka from Speedtest Intelligence® data in Q1 2019. Ookla has also recognized Mobitel as the first 5G data network in Sri Lanka.
