Janashakthi Insurance Co. Ltd., joined hands with the Sri Lanka Turf Club to sponsor the Independence Cup sponsor the Independence Cup, which was held in NuwaraEliya recently. The main event was the ‘Independence Cup’for thoroughbred horses Class I, to be run over a distance of eight furlongs. The other races were ‘Janashakthi Full Option Trophy’ for Class II and 111, thoroughbred horses, ‘Janashakthi Trophy’ for Class IV thoroughbred horses, and others.
