HNB has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL), establishing a partnership to provide a range of financial benefits to more than 25,000 engineering professionals across the country. Under the agreement, IESL members will gain access to customized, pre-approved premium credit cards and personal loans, together with special concessions on regular personal financial services. Members meeting the relevant eligibility criteria will also have access to HNB Priority Circle, the Bank’s premium banking proposition offering preferential terms and benefits.
The financial package has been designed to address the specific requirements of engineering professionals, including independent practitioners and consultants whose financial needs may extend beyond conventional retail banking services.
Sanjay Wijemanne, Chief Operating Officer, HNB, said the partnership enables the Bank to offer products tailored to the professional standing and career profiles of engineers. He added that HNB views the collaboration as a long-term relationship focused on delivering meaningful value to IESL members.
IESL President Eng. Kosala Kamburadeniya said access to quality financial services is an important consideration for engineers, particularly those beginning their careers or managing independent practices. He noted that the partnership, facilitated through IESL’s Member Benefits Committee, reflects the institution’s commitment to providing tangible benefits to its membership and is expected to support engineering professionals across Sri Lanka.
