Emirates’ internet check-in facility in Colombo

Colombo is the latest destination on the Emir­ates network to receive the innovative internet check-in facility. Emirates’ passengers departing from Colombo can now select and secure their preferred seats, and check-in for their flights by logging into the airline’s website – www.emirates.com. This conve­nient service will enable customers to save time at the airport. This facility is available between 12 hours and two hours prior to flight departure. Passengers checking in via the internet will be prompted to enter their travel information and be able to select their seats from amongst those available at that time. An online receipt will be provided once the process is completed. At a dedicated counter in the airport, the online receipts can be exchanged for boarding passes. “Emirates is pleased to introduce the online check-in facility in Colombo, which is an important destination on the Emirates network. We are con­fident our customers will welcome this new option to check-in for their Emirates flights via the inter­net;’ said Tissa Bi bile, Area Manager Sri Lanka & Maldives, Emirates. “Emirates continually looks for new ways to enhance our services, and this is just one example. We will be adding new capabilities to our on line check-in service in the near future:’ Currently, 70% of the Emirates network is cov­ered through online check-in.
