Siemens Healthineers MRI scanners provided by DIMO.

DIMO, in its quest to strengthen the local healthcare sector with the latest technology, along with its long-standing partner Siemens Healthineers has now secured the highest market presence in the nation’s Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI scanners) domain. DIMO secured almost 41 percent of the market share in the MRI sphere, covering both the private and public sectors. All Siemens Healthineers MRI scanners installed by DIMO around the country perform 56,160 scans a year. The Siemens Healthineers MRI scanners provided by DIMO are renowned for delivering exceptional image quality, efficiency, speed, and patient comfort. DIMO also offers an unparalleled 24- hour after- sales service for all installations across the country. Government hospitals such as National Hospital – Colombo (NHSL), Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children, Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital, Teaching Hospital – Jaffna, Dr. Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital, and the Colombo Army Hospital, and several private sector hospitals, including Durdans Hospital, Lanka Hospitals, Nawaloka Hospitals and the Northern Central Hospital are all equipped with Siemens Healthineers MRI scanners provided by DIMO. Wijith Pushpawela, Executive Director at DIMO, who also oversees the Medical Engineering business of the Group, stated, “Both the government and private sector healthcare providers are keen on adopting the latest technology to upgrade their service quality. We have seen a higher demand coming from the government to improve the public healthcare sector across the country. When it comes to the local MRI sector, the government is planning to obtain three to four MRI scanners annually, and the annual requirement of the private sector is approximately three scanners. With
DIMO’s purpose of ‘Fuelling Dreams and Aspirations’ of all the communities we serve in, we are proud to assist in elevating the overall healthcare sector of the nation.”

The key differentiators of DIMO’s Medical Engineering business from its competitors are: the availability of DIMO’s factory-trained Bio-Medical Engineers for all models on offer. Most importantly, they are constantly updated with all the latest technology through training provided by the principal company, enabling them to carry out every installation without the onsite presence of the principal. Priyantha Dissanayake, the General Manager of DIMO Healthcare Solutions, said,
“Our after-sales service strategy comprises regular corrective service and maintenance personnel visits to ensure the smooth function of these machines. Our global partner Siemens Healthineers provides tremendous support in improving the local healthcare landscape with their fast 24-hour spare parts dispatch service, which creates a competitive edge for DIMO in the industry as well. Training and Development assistance provided by Siemens Healthineers is also the prime focus in offering a world-class service to the local healthcare industry. As a result, DIMO is equipped with the highest number of factory-trained technicians with over a decade of experience at minimum.”
