Dialog Broadband Networks (DBN) introduced broadband internet, powered by WiMAX technology for the first time in Sri Lanka.
This new service includes pre-packaged high-speed, internet solutions, together with unlimited internet usage for a fixed monthly subscription. Dialog Broadband connectivity will replace the traditional dial-up access to the internet. Activities such as gaming, video sharing, movie and music downloads are now within access for Dialog customers.
Kavan Ratnayaka, CEO, DBN said, “Internet is quickly becoming an integral part in many aspects of our lives, and with very high speed access Dialog Broadband will change the way we experience the internet. Broadband opens up unlimited possibilities for both organisations and individuals.”
Mahen Dayananda, Chairman, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the first customer of this new service said, “I consider it a privilege to be here today. Dialog is always in the news and first with products and services. I am happy to receive the first WiMAX connection.”
