The Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) appointed Alumex as the Institute’s Strategic Sponsor for the year 2011/12. At a special ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the SLIA and Alumex.
The agreement was signed by Archt Ranjan Nadesapillai, President of the SLIA and Pramuk Dediwela, Director/General Manager of Alumex as well as other members of the SLIA and representatives of Alumex. This association with SLIA will provide a unique opportunity to Alumex to reach the general public as a company that manufactures high quality aluminium products.
As SLIA’s strategic sponsor, Alumex will be the principal sponsor of the Institute’s annual event, the Architect 2012, which will include the National Conference, Members Work and Trade Exhibition to be held in February 2012.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Archt Ranjan Nadesapillai said, “I am happy to say that our partnership with Alumex last year was a rewarding experience and I look forward to continuing this advantageous alliance that has not only benefited both parties but also the profession, industry and the general public.” Pramuk Dediwela expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given to continue working with SLIA.
“SLIA is a reputed organisation of architects and its event, Architect 2012, is a good opportunity to promote the brand Alumex among the most relevant segment of society – architects,” said Tissa Jayatilaka, Group Marketing Manager, Alumex. “We are an organisation that wants to develop local industries – we are a 100 percent Sri Lankan company.”
