
The ceremony was organized by the Bank of Ceylon Buddhist Association, together with the Bank’s North Central Provincial Office, continuing a long-standing religious observance to invoke blessings on customers, staff, the Government, the people of Sri Lanka, and the country as a whole.
The event was attended by Kavinda de Zoysa, the Chairman, Bank of Ceylon, together with members of the Board of Directors, Y.A. Jayathilaka, General Manager and Chief Executive Officer, corporate and executive management, including Assistant General Manager North Central Province, North Central Province team, senior officials, and the staff members of the Bank. Distinguished invitees, including Vice Chancellor of Rajarata University, Professor Bandula Jayathilaka, customers, and a large number of devotees, were also present at the ceremony. As part of the religious observance, Bank of Ceylon also contributed to the spreading of white sand within the sacred premises of the Ruwanweli Maha Seya, reaffirming its continued association with this annual meritorious activity in Anuradhapura.
