People’s Bank hosted an Industry Exposure Visit for first-year Finance undergraduates of the University of Kelaniya, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management in Finance. The program provided early exposure to the banking sector, helping students link academic learning with industry practice. Through discussions and a site visit, they gained insights into the Bank’s operations, trends, and career opportunities. Held under the patronage of Prof. Narada Fernando, Chairman, and Clive Fonseka, CEO/GM, the visit was organized by the Staff Training College led by Manjula Dissanayake, DGM – Human Resources, and coordinated by Upesh Gunaratne, AGM – Human Resources Development. Wickrama Narayana (DGM – SME, Development and Microfinance), Naleen Pathiranage (DGM – Channel Management), Nalin Perera (AGM – Retail Banking), and Indumini Rathnayake (DGM – Banking Support Services), conducted knowledge-sharing sessions and facilitated operational exposure during the visit.
