People’s Bank hosted its 20th Annual Inter Branch/ Department Quiz, underscoring its commitment to staff development and knowledge sharing. This year’s event saw enthusiastic participation from 148 teams across the bank’s network, reflecting the institution’s dedication to fostering a culture of continuous learning among its employees.
Sujeewa Rajapakse, Chairman of People’s Bank, and Clive Fonseka, Chief Executive Officer/General Manager, along with members of the Corporate and executive management, attended the quiz.
The contested competition concluded with the Treasury Front Office – Team C clinching the coveted CEO/ GM Trophy. The team com- prised Upeksha Vidanapathirana, Sihanthi Mapatuna, Nadini Rasara Weerasinghe, Amanda Pakianathan, and Dulaj Nanayakkara, demonstrated exceptional knowledge and teamwork to secure the top position.
The Strategic Planning, Performance Management & Research Department teams, which were the First Runners- up, and the Commercial Credit Department, which took the second Runners-up spot, were closely followed. The International Banking Division—Team A and the Ratnapura Regional Head Office were honored as the third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
The chairman of People’s Bank commented on the event’s success, stating, “This annual quiz is a testament to our commitment to building a knowledgeable and well-informed team capable of leading People’s Bank towards future challenges and opportunities.”
