In July 2015 Hayleys Advantis decided to add another facet to its multi-faceted transport sector by moving into the courier sector. To make this move a possibility, Hayleys Advantis formed a strategic alliance with Mountain Hawk Express, a licensee of Federal Express Corporation.
As a result of the alliance, the courier service of the company is geared to take control as Sri Lanka’s leader in air express courier service to over 220 countries worldwide. This alliance aims at offering customers value addition through integrated logistics solutions such as warehousing, sea transportation, along with the air express services currently offered.
The new alliance will enhance Hayley’s transportation portfolio and create new synergies. It will also provide for the canonicalization of airport services through integrated operations with the Hayleys zonal operations within free trade zones. This will enable to Mountain Hawk express to make later pickups and earlier deliveries to customers in these zones.
