Yohan Perera was recently inducted as the 18th President, of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. Perera has been a partner at KPMG Ford, Rhodes, Thornton and Co. since 1990. He was also recently appointed to the Board of the National Institute of Business Management. He serves on the board of the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants.
Outgoing president lndrajith Fernando thanked all those who he had worked alongside with and spoke on the importance of embracing the changing role of the accountant. President International Federation of Accountants Graham Ward was the Chief Guest. Senior resident representative International Monetary Fund Luis M Valdivieso was the guest of honor.
