Vipula Gunatilleka, new GCFO, Dialog Telekom
Vipula Gunatilleka is the new Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) of Dialog Telekom. He succeeds Wan Zaidan Wan Mahyudin, who returns to Malaysia after his eight-year stay in Sri Lanka. Wan Zaidan was closely associated with Dialog’s historic 2005 debut on the Colombo Stock Exchange, with the country’s largest initial public offering valued at Rs 8.5 bn.
Vipula Gunatilleka brings to Dialog Telekom over 15 years of professional experience in the spheres of finance, treasury, insurance, procurement, information technology, corporate planning, general management and operations. Prior to taking up the role of GCFO at Dialog, he was the CFO and acting CEO of a government carrier and also held senior finance positions with some of the country’s top companies.
He is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. In addition to his FCA, ACA, FCMA, ACMA and CPA (Singapore) credentials, V Gunatilleka holds an MBA from the University of Colombo.
