The Kingsbury in Colombo is situated at the far end of the Galle Face Green with the Indian Ocean creating the perfect backdrop. The exquisitely designed and furnished hotel under the direction of Dhammika Perera, Deputy Chairman of Hayleys, can be considered a landmark endeavour by Hayleys and Kingsbury. The Kingsbury was ceremonially opened by President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Also present at this occasion was Minister Basil Rajapaksa, Deputy Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena, Mayor A J M Muzammil and Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal.
