Smithkline Beecham International the worldwide health care company has appointed a Sri Lankan, Nalin Jayasuriya as their regional human resources special projects manager for South East. Asia and India region’ from April this year. Jayasuriya is currently the human resource director of Smithkline Beecham Mackwoods Ltd, Colombo.
During his long career specializing in human resource programs he has carried out consultancies and training for Airport Aviation Services, Singer Sri Lanka, ICTAD, Hongkong Bank, Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, CIMA and Sri Lanka Police Higher Training Institute.
In this new assignment. Jayasuriya will be focusing on human resource excellence specially in Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and Malaysia. He will be involved in special human resource projects in Singapore, Myanmar, Indonesia, India and Sri Lanka. As a priority Jayasuriya will be involved in regional communications, recognition & reward programs, annual strategic planning & regional management development projects.
