SLT-MOBITEL Innovation Day 2024 showcased a compelling lineup of groundbreaking ideas and transformative solutions developed by employees across the organization. The event highlighted the company’s strong commitment to nurturing internal innovation and technological advancement in the digital era.
The event was graced by SLT-MOBITEL’s top management and other representatives from across the organization, including the evaluation panel team members. The event marked the culmination of the eight-month Intrapreneurship Studio Program, organized by SLT R&D. The program recognized exceptional innovations across three categories: Idea Innovation, New Product and Solution Innovation, and Process and operations and Maintenance (O&M) Innovation. Outstanding intrapreneurs were awarded for their contributions to driving organizational growth and enhancing life quality and well-being.
The Intrapreneurship Studio Program winners were rewarded for their outstanding contributions to innovation. Selected participants presented their solutions to SLT-MOBITEL’s senior management and industry stakeholders, demonstrating the organization’s commitment to nurturing talent and innovation from within. The event featured live demonstrations of cutting-edge solutions developed by SLT-MOBITEL R&D, including SenseGrid, Environmental Monitoring, OneClick, ParkEase, and Bank IoT. These innovations represent the company’s commitment to developing practical solutions that address real-world challenges.
Ahmed Irfan, Director – Futureworks—MAS Innovation and Founder of IQ Global, attended the event as a guest speaker. He delivered a compelling keynote presentation on ‘Trends in Innovation in the Service Industry,’ providing valuable insights into emerging technological advancements and their impact on the future of the service sector.
Innovation is rooted in SLT-MOBITEL’s transformation journey, and the outstanding solutions presented at the event demonstrated employees’ capability to drive meaningful change in Sri Lanka’s technology landscape. The day concluded with networking sessions facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration among participants.
