Delectable, authentic Thai cuisine is now available at the Departure Lounge of the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
With a seating capacity of over 100, this new branch of Siam House is open round-the-clock for passengers in search of a great meal.
As well as the trademark Thai cuisine of Siam House, which is already known to many, there will also be traditional Sri Lankan dishes on offer along with a versatile international menu. Both on-the-go ‘light’ meals and a full a la carte menu is available at very competitive prices.
His Excellency Thinakorn Kanasuta, Ambassador of Thailand in Sri Lanka, Geeth Karunaratne, Head of Commercial and Properties of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) and Weerawat Swasdibutra, the General Manager of Thai Airways for Sri Lanka and the Republic of Maldives declared the restaurant open in January 2008.
Lionel Fernando, Managing Director of parent company Benjarong said, “For each respective menu, an experienced chef will be on hand. Chefs from Thailand will work alongside chefs from Sri Lanka, all of whom are qualified and have many years of industry experience.”
For over 15 years, Siam House has captured the art of Thai cuisine through its use of authentic ingredients, cooking methods, and perfect dining atmosphere.
They have recently set up a full service commercial kitchen capable of producing 6,000 meals a day, and a bakery adjacent to the airport, thereby diversifying into the catering industry. It is envisaged that in the future Siam House will also expand into neighbouring countries in the region.
