People’s Bank picked the third millionaire in ‘People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai, Ewannai Dinannai’ Draw. The monthly winner of April and daily and weekly winners between April to May were selected.
Accordingly, a one million rupees cash prize will be awarded to the monthly winner while four weekly winners will be awarded 22-Karat gold sovereigns, and prizes of 10,000 rupees each will be presented to 28 Daily Winners.
People’s Bank launched “People’s Remittance Vaasi kotiyayi” Draw to encourage and appreciate Sri Lankan migrant workers who work tirelessly to strengthen the country’s economy and build a better life for themselves and their families. Under this promotion, the Grand Draw winner selected at the year-end will be presented with a Grand Prize of ten million rupees. Additionally, one million rupees monthly winners will be chosen every month, and 22K gold sovereign weekly winners will be selected 48 times. Ten thousand daily cash prize winners will be selected 334 times until 31st December 2022.
All customers who remit foreign remittances to People’s Bank accounts, to other bank accounts through People’s Bank, and remittances collected over the counter at People’s Bank branches, including remittances sent via WU, Ria, or similar channels during the period till 31st December 2022 are eligible for the draw. Customers can also increase their chances of winning by remitting more money.
