People’s Leasing and Finance hosted its annual Premier Awards Ceremony to recognize outstanding branches and individuals for exceptional performance in the 2024/25 financial year.
The event recognised outstanding achievements of PLC branches and employees from the branch network and Head Office, particularly in Marketing, Asset and Liability products, and Recoveries. The Premier Awards celebrated not only business performance but also the dedication and excellence that drive PLC’s growth and leadership in Sri Lanka’s financial services sector. The gathering was attended by Prof Narada Fernando, Chairman, People’s Bank, Professor Ajantha Samarakoon, Chairman, People’s Leasing members of the Board of Directors, CEO/GM, PLC, Sanjeewa Bandaranayake, People’s Leasing and Finance Corporate Management, the CEOs of People’s Insurance PLC and People’s Micro Commerce, senior management, branch leadership, department heads, and high-performing teams from across the island. The occasion was further graced by former D. P. Kumarage, CEO/GM and Pradeep Amirthanayagam, former Chairman of People’s Leasing. The accolade of the evening, the CEO’s Challenge Trophy – Overall Category 2024/25, was awarded to the Battaramulla Branch of People’s Leasing in recognition of its exceptional performance across key financial and operational indicators.
Reflecting the organization’s strong performance-driven culture, the ceremony also featured the presentation of 72 individual awards and 38 branch awards, celebrating excellence across the network. Beyond business achievements, the evening highlighted the diverse talents of the People’s Leasing family. Employees who excelled beyond the workplace were recognized for representing PLC in sports and professional achievement competitions, bringing pride and distinction to the brand. This multifaceted celebration reaffirmed PLC’s commitment to nurturing a performance-driven culture that values professional excellence alongside personal growth, strengthening its legacy as a leading financial services provider in Sri Lanka.
