Bank held a ceremony to usher in the New Year, which saw the participation of staff commencing duties.
People’s Bank Chairman Prof. Narada Fernando and Chief Executive Officer/General Manager Clive Fonseka addressed the gathering. On this day, a ceremonial chanting of Seth Pirith and multi-religious observances were also conducted.
The corporate and executive management, representatives of trade unions, representatives of religious organizations, and other voluntary organizations, as well as all team members, attended the event. Simultaneously, in branches nationwide, similar events took place, with staff members taking the Clean Sri Lanka Pledge in commemoration of the New Year.
