People’s Bank sponsored the ‘Sithuvili Siththam 2023’ competition, an all-island competition featuring art, posters, and cartoons organized by the Child Protection Bureau to commemorate World Children’s Day. The inauguration event was held where the winners were bestowed with prizes and certificates, and the occasion was graced by a distinguished assembly, including Geetha Kumarasinghe, State Minister for the Women and Child Protection Ministry, Sujeewa Rajapaksa, Chairman of People’s Bank, and Clive Fonseka, the CEO/GM. Officials from the Women and Children Empowerment Ministry and the National Child Protection Bureau, along with enthusiastic school students, also joined in to commemorate World Children’s Day.
The art competition, which was organized with the primary objective of fostering awareness about child safety, honing skills, and amplifying the voices of our young talents, saw a multitude of exceptional creations submitted across both the Schools and Open categories.
