People’s Bank continued commemoration of its 60th anniversary by providing a new building as well as enhancing other facilities at the Rekeula Primary School in Polpithagama. The new building and the other facility improvements within the Rekeula Primary School were completed with the full support of the Divisional Staff at the cost of two million rupees. The need for this initiative was identified as a critical requirement since the school lacked proper facilities and students were attending classes in huts. The new building provides a unique opportunity for teachers and students alike by creating a pleasant environment with better facilities conducive to learning.
