People’s Bank has awarded the grand prize of the ‘People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai 2024’ draw to A.A. Harshanath Chinthaka from Matugama, who received a cash prize of 2,000,000 rupees. Prof. Narada Fernando, Chairman, People’s Bank; Clive Fonseka, CEO/General Manager, People’s Bank presented the prize to the lucky winner.
Harshanath Chinthaka shared his excitement about receiving this remarkable reward and invited all migrant workers to send their remittances to People’s Bank as winners.
The event was graced by several officials, including Nalaka Wijayawardana, Head of Marketing, People’s Bank; Aruni Liyanagunawardana, Deputy General Manager (Overseas Customer Services); I.K Indika, Assistant General Manager (Channel Management); Buddhika Ranatungage, Assistant General Manager (OCS); N. The ‘People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai 2024’ initiative aims to recognize and appreciate Sri Lankan migrant workers’ invaluable contribution to the national economy. As part of this campaign, People’s Bank awarded 2,000,000 rupees to the grand prize winner, while monthly winners received 250,000 rupees, and weekly winners were rewarded with 100,000 rupees.
