People’s Bank held its main New Year celebration at its branch in Tangalle under the patronage of Dr. P A Kiriwandeniya, Chairman, People’s Bank and members of the corporate management. The Chief Guest at the occasion was President Mahinda Rajapaksa who conducted the traditional New Year ‘Ganu Denu’ with the Bank.
Also present at the occasion were Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Defense Secretary and Vice Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda, Commander of the Navy. The occasion was marked in similar traditional style at all 631 branches and service centres of People’s Bank, where many customers visited the Bank to make their New Year transactions.
