Pan Asia Bank was recognized at the ‘Presidential Environment Awards 2019’, on which occasion, President Maithripala Sirisena recognized the bank for winning the Global Climate Partnership Award. The President handed over the international award to Nimal Tillekeratne, Director/ Chief Executive Officer, Pan Asia Bank at the ‘Presidential Environment Awards 2019’, organized by the Central Environment Authority (CEA). Pan Asia Bank was the only Sri Lankan bank to be recognized at this event for its noteworthy contribution to environmental conservation.
Nimal Tillekeratne, Director/ Chief Executive Officer, Pan Asia Bank on the winning note stated, “It is an honor to win the ‘Global Climate Partnership Award’ from the Global Climate Partnership Fund (GCPF), and now to be presented with the award by the President along with recognition as a ‘blue green awardee’ at the Presidential Environment Awards. The Global Climate Partnership Fund (GCPF) recognizes outstanding performance and impact across categories such as capacities and skills, institutional capacities as well as green lending offerings, together with outstanding energy efficiency or renewable energy projects.
