
Having commenced operations in 2003, the Uragas-Manhandiya Branch of National Savings Bank (NSB) has been delivering excellent customer service for over two decades. With the aim of providing an enhanced banking experience to customers in the area, the branch was recently ceremonially reopened at its new location on Kosgoda Road, Uragasmanhandiya. The event was graced by the Chairman of National Savings Bank, Dr. Harsha Cabral, PC, as the Chief Guest. Also present were the Divisional Secretary of the Karandeniya Divisional Secretariat, Prasanthi Madurangani; Acting General Manager/CEO of NSB, Rohana Weerakoon; Senior Deputy General Manager, K. Raveendran; Deputy General Manager (Operations), Nalika Wijesinghe; Assistant General Manager (Marketing), Dulakshi Perera; Regional Manager, Susantha Piyarathna; and the Manager of the Uragasmanhandiya Branch, Sudaraka Liyanage. Several state officials and members of the business community also attended the ceremony. On the first day of operations, deposits were accepted by the distinguished guests, with the first deposit presented to the Chairman by D. S. Jayawardena. The relocated branch features spacious premises and modern banking facilities, including an ATM, and aims to deliver superior service to the community. As the only bank offering a 100% Government Guarantee, NSB continues to expand its service network across the country.
