Kavan Ratnayaka assumed duties as the new Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
The chief guests at the occasion were John Amaratunga, Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs, and Sagala Ratnayaka, Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development. The newly appointed chairman received blessings of Buddhist clergy.
Also present at the official event were Udaya Nanayakkara, Chairman, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau; Prema Cooray, Chairman, Sri Lanka Convention Bureau; Board of Directors of the Bureau and well wishers.
