NDB has been conferred with a number of awards by regional and international organizations, and as the first half of 2019 comes to an end, NDB has won over 45 awards of excellence. The Bank emerged as the Winner in the Banking Sector at the Sustainability Reporting Awards of ACCA Sri Lanka for the reporting year 2017/2018. Sustainability disclosures of NDB’s 2017 Annual Report – Take a Closer Look was recognized at this year’s awards program as the best in sustainability reporting within the banking sector
The report won the bronze award – Banking Sector at the 54th Annual Report Awards 2018 of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and the second runner up – Private Sector Banks (including Cooperative Banks) and merit award for Corporate Governance at the South Asian Federation of Accountants BPA Award and SAARC Anniversary Award 2017 for Best Presented Annual Reports held in Pune, India in January 2019.
NDB was felicitated with three awards by the Asiamoney Best Bank Awards: the ‘Best Domestic Bank in Sri Lanka 2019’ and the ‘Best Bank for Premium Banking Sri Lanka 2019’ along with the ‘Best Corporate and Investment Bank Sri Lanka 2019’ for the NDB Investment Bank of the NDB Group.
Additionally, NDB was also felicitated by the Global Banking and Finance Review of UK
Accordingly, the awards for Best SME Bank Sri Lanka 2019, Best Financial Services Group Sri Lanka 2019, Best Bank for Project Financing Sri Lanka 2019, Most Innovative Digital Transformation Sri Lanka 2019 and Best Automobile Finance Bank Sri Lanka 2019 were won by NDB
Meanwhile, NDB Bank’s payments and settlements process won the 2018 USD Operational Excellence Award from Deutsche Bank New York for ‘Straight through Processing’ for the third consecutive year.
