Caring for Sri Lankans and helping communities to forge through during challenging times such as the COVID-19 outbreak, Mobitel continued its CSR endeavor by donating 7,500 face masks to two worthy organizations. Sashika Senerath, the Chief Marketing Officer of Mobitel handed over 5,000 face masks to the Samastha Lanka Daham Suwanda Foundation which, aims to distribute the donated masks among schoolchildren across the island; while 2,500 face masks that were donated to the Colombo Remand Prison will be used for prison guards and inmates to curb the spread of infection as face masks are ex- tremely effective in reducing the spread of the virus. Mobitel has assisted many national level initiatives in curb- ing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, Mobitel and SLT has also partnered with Manusath Derana to distribute one million face masks in Sri Lanka. As the caring network, Mobitel is com- mitted to providing numerous innovative solutions to overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic thereby helping the corporate sector as well as the general public to conduct their day to day operations in a hassle- free manner.
