Dialog Telekom launched its 3G/HSPA service in Mannipai, Jaffna following the set-up of the 530th 3G Base Station there, earning the company the distinction of being the first mobile service provider to provide 3G services in Jaffna. Services will comprise of video calling and conferencing, mobile TV, high-speed internet access, and a host of other consumer benefits.
Dr Hans Wijayasuriya, Group Chief Executive, Dialog Telekom, stated, “With the introduction of 3G and HSPA, the customers in Mannipai will be empowered with the very latest in mobile communications and broadband technology on par with the most advanced 3G networks globally.”
