Douglas and Sons (DSL) showcased the “GT Awards Night 2012” for its tyre dealers in the city of Dubai amidst an audience of high profile dignitaries including Sarath Wijesinghe, the Ambassador for Sri Lanka in Dubai, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Abdul Rahim, Sri Lanka’s Consul General in Dubai who was present as the Guest of Honour.
Addressing the audience Saroj Perera, Chairman – DSL Group of Companies said, “we are gathered here to celebrate the success of our achievements during the past year.”
Perera speaking further said that DSL / GT family together has made GT tyres a frontrunner in the imported tyre segment in Sri Lanka for 16 consecutive years and commended the dealers for their loyalty and commitment towards GT, while also acknowledging the unstinted support of DSL marketing team for the continuous support through the years.
A total of 250 participants some with their families were flown to Dubai on an all expenses paid tour that lasted four days. The tour from beginning to end was packed with fun and entertainment and the adventurous Desert Safari was an unforgettable experience enjoyed by all. Shopping in Dubai and the dinner on board a cruise were the most anticipated activities, which was also an exciting first hand experience for many.
