J M Wickramarachchi and Company held a drawing competition for children with hearing impairments to mark the International Day of People with Disability. The prize giving ceremony of the competition was held in the presence of a gathering of children who participated in the competition, their parents and well wishers. Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Minister of Environment was the chief guest at the occasion while Sybil Wettasinghe and a host of other invitees graced the occasion. The proceedings comprised of dance performances by several children and inspirational story sharing. The winners of the competition received a certificate, a savings account at Sampath Bank and a prize each. The event was a concept of Mihira Wickramarachchi, Managing Director of J M Wickramarachchi and Company.
