The Commercial Bank of Ceylon won three awards at the 2005 National Business Excellence awards organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka.
The Bank was participating for the first time, won the Gold award in the banking as well as Excellence in Business and Financial Sustainability categories and picked up the Bronze award for its performance in the ‘Extra large’ category.
“The winners at this prestigious awards ceremony were chosen after a comprehensive evaluation of each applicant to ensure that the most deserving company wins. This latest string of awards demonstrates the outstanding overall performance of the bank in all sectors of business;’ says Amitha Gooneratne, Managing Director, Commercial Bank.
