While driving through one of the best locations in Colombo, this prestigious venue was spotted by Kishore D Reddy, Managing Director – Platinum 1, who revealed that this convenient location’s potential inspired this project. Foreign investments for the project include the Paharpur Cooling Towers, a world leader in the Cooling Tower industry in partnership with Pragnya Fund, a Mauritius-based Equity Fund which has an established record of being a realty investor. There is also a Sri Lankan industrialist involved in the project. “Although technical construction knowledge has been drawn from International expertise, the staff members of the company predominantly consist of Sri Lankans, offering employment to locals,” said Reddy.
The building stands out from its cosmopolitan surrounding with its unique double-glazed glass facade.
A sophisticated Korean automated valet car parking system is a technology introduced to Sri Lanka for the first time. One has to simply drive into one of the three assigned elevators and the computerised system will recognise an available slot and park the vehicle. To obtain the vehicle back, you conveniently either press a button, insert a password or swipe a card.
The Platinum 1 car park has been identified as the highest-density car park in Sri Lanka with a capacity to accommodate 216 vehicles.
Post tension technology is another feature unique to Platinum 1 which will provide stability during Earthquakes. Other facilities include a large swimming pool with a kids’ area,
a modern well-equipped gymnasium, lounges, meeting rooms and a residential lobby. Each apartment also offers a panoramic view of the ocean and surrounding vicinity.
“We have only 66 residential units and four penthouses as we are not making it a mass living centre.
You need to give a certain level of exclusivity to high-end living and that is what we are offering,” said Reddy, explaining the objective of the project. Platinum 1 therefore emphasises on quality rather than quantity.
This project has taken their resident’s security and privacy to a whole new level. Visitors can have access to respective apartments of their friends, colleagues and family members only after authorisation by the reliable
security system. “If you don’t want visitors to come up to your residence, you can meet them at the lounge.
If you have to engage in a formal meeting, it can be arranged in the meeting and conference rooms,” said Reddy.
He further highlighted that the security is not only limited to living but also includes the safety of investments and finances. “Potential buyers can actually walk in and physically see where they are going to live before making a purchase,” asserted Reddy, elaborating that the super-structure of the project has already been completed, so customers can enter the space they choose to live in with the liberty to custom-design their future crib with final touch-ups to suit their personal preferences, ensuring complete satisfaction.
“We wanted to give an exclusive living condition,” said Reddy who asserted Platinum 1’s Vision was to redefine luxury, which is something he revealed he believes, has been achieved. Their mission was to provide Sri Lankan residents a quality in comfort not seen before.
The completed apartments will be ready for residents to move in within one year of making their bookings. Reddy concluded by saying, “the progress of Platinum 1 has been positive and the operation has been a smooth flow so far.”
