The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has become the first bank in Sri Lanka to offer access to over one million Boingo WiFi hotspots worldwide at no additional charge to holders of World Mastercard credit cards issued by the Bank
This allows eligible persons to enjoy Wi-Fi in locations such as hotels, retail outlets, cafes & restaurants, airports and even on-board flights operated by selected airlines.
Eligible Commercial Bank World Mastercard cardholders can use the Boingo service for up to four devices, including any combination of smartphones, tablets and laptops.
Commenting on the launch of this benefit to cardholders in Sri Lanka, Hasrath Munasinghe, Deputy General Manager Market ing said: “Staying connected while traveling overseas is often expensive. With Boingo, our World Mastercard holders no longer need to worry about connectivity.”
While, R B Santosh Kumar, Country Manager – Sri Lanka and Maldives, Mastercard said, “Understanding the need to stay connected at all times in today’s fast paced world, we are delighted to offer Commercial Bank’s Mastercard cardholders traveling abroad for work and leisure a convenient and cost effective solution to their Wi-Fi needs.”
