The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Acclivity Training as well as Leo Burnett Sri Lanka organ- ized a compelling forum entitled, “Sri Lanka Forward – How Busi- nesses can recover after terror attacks”, with focus on making a strategic contribution to boost business confidence as well as to Business leaders converge at ‘Sri Lanka Forward’ forum inspire the business community of the island.
Dr Indrajit Coomaraswamy, Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka along with a panel of top industry and business leaders addressed the forum.
Included in the panel were, Dr Parakrama Dissanayake, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, Aitken Spence to- gether with Vipula Gunatilleka, Group CEO, Sri Lankan Airlines; Sanath Ukwatte, President, The Hotels Association of Sri Lanka; Shalin Balasuriya, Director/ Co- Founder, SPA Ceylon; Abbas Kamrudeen, Chairman, Federa- tion of Information Technology Industry, Sri Lanka; Sharang Pant, Managing Director, Nielsen Sri Lanka and Chevaan Daniel, Group Director of The Capital Maharaja Organization. Kasturi C Wilson, Managing Director, Hemas Pharmaceuti- cals, Hemas Surgical and Diag- nostics. Hemas Logistics and Maritime Cluster moderated the highly engaging and inspiring session.
Discussion centered on how business leaders must take the initiative to lead the country out of the current crisis and focus was given to strategies that businesses must adopt in order for industries to recover post the recent tragic events.
