In response to the urgent need of building a Cardiac and Critical Care Complex at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital, Bank of Ceylon (BOC) together with Sri Lanka College of Pediatricians is set to build a Cardiac and Critical Care complex at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for children in need.
The MoU in this regard was signed by Senarath Bandara, CEO/General Manager, BOC and Dr Rajaratnam Ajanthan, President of Sri Lanka College of Pediatricians. Accordingly, BOC will be the official Banking partner for this project.
The staff of the Bank donated a day’s pay, amounting to a sum of seven million rupees to be credited to the ‘Little Hearts’ project account with the Bank. By actively engaging in the project, the Bank looks forward to assisting the ‘Little Hearts’ fund to grow up to its financial target of two billion rupees and maintain the collection account bearing the number 79738633 on behalf of the project.
In this regard, the Bank will also assist the awareness campaign and get its customers involved to raise funds for this cause.
A certificate from the ‘Little Hearts Project’ will be given for every donation of 10,000 rupees or above to the account
The aim of the ‘Little Hearts’ project is to build a 12-story Cardiac and Critical Care Complex attached to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital as a stateof-the-art special treatment center for children with heart diseases and critical illnesses.
