The Arogya 2006 healthcare exhibition is to be held on the 5, 6 and 7th of May at the BMICH Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The Private Health Sector Development Unit of the Ministry of Health in partnership with the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka is organizing the exhibition. The overall objective of the exhibition is to contribute towards improving the quality of healthcare in the country. It aims to create awareness among the general public, professionals, business sector, healthcare providers and students of new technologies, products and services offered by both private and public sector healthcare institutions and agencies. Designed to attract investment to this sector it will provide a common platform for buyers and sellers in the health sector. Dr. Amal Harsha de Silva, Director, said that this would be of great benefit in upgrading the healthcare sector in the country. The principal sponsor of the event is Glaxo Smith Kline.
