ANC Education now offers Sri Lankan youth the golden opportunity of obtaining a globally reputed Monash University Degree close to home at Monash University Sunway Campus in Malaysia.
Being the only licensed education institute in Sri Lanka to collaborate with Monash University, ANC Education offers two programmes which include the Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) and the Diploma programme. Students who complete the above stages can complete their degrees not only in Australia but also at Monash’s Sunway Campus which offers the same standards in qualifications, distinctive international experience and excellence in teaching and research.
“Malaysia, being located close to Sri Lanka and culturally very similar, is an ideal choice for Sri Lankan students whose parents are always concerned about their security,” stated Prof Gamini Herath, Asian Economic Development Research Strength Leader at Monash, Malaysia.
Having marked its presence in Malaysia for well over a decade, Bandar Sunway is a convenient answer to Sri Lankan parents who are reluctant to send their children all the way to Australia for the completion of their higher education. The same educational exposure can be obtained in Malaysia at a very affordable cost both in terms of tuition fees and cost of living. Being an Asian society, the culture and environment in Bandar where the Campus is located will be quite similar to that of Sri Lanka, enabling the students to mingle and settle with ease.
Through the MUFY programme, Sri Lankan students may apply to any diploma or under graduate course at Monash University Sunway Campus in the fields of Arts and Social Sciences, Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Medicine and Health Sciences and Science.
“It is important to highlight the flexibility offered through this programme because a Sri Lankan student will be offered the choice of completing the degree in Sri Lanka and Malaysia or in all three countries including Australia with the ability to do certain components in Australia,” added Prof Herath.
Monash University Sunway Campus is a USD 60 million campus providing students with 24 specialised Engineering laboratories, first class television and radio studios and a modern library with more than 59,000 items. Students can also access the Monash University Library in Australia, which has an online collection of more than 98,000 e-books, 27,000 e-serials and 752 electronic databases. In terms of accommodation, the Sunway Campus offers modern apartments within walking distance to the campus.
Sunway Campus boasts of an international student body representing Australia, South Africa, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Maldives, India, Korea, Japan and France. While the current Sri Lankan student community is well over 200, hundreds more have passed out from Monash and serve renowned local and international employers both in the country and abroad.
