Rajeeva Bandaranaike joined Orient Finance as the Chief Executive Officer. Bandaranaike brings with him over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector in which he has held several senior managerial positions. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, a Bachelor of Laws from the Open University of Sri Lanka and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
Bandaranaike was the CEO of Peoples Merchant prior to joining Orient Finance for a short course of time but his career expanded during his tenure at the Colombo Stock Exchange from which he resigned after a career spanning close to 18 years. At a time of transition where Orient is converting itself from being a specialized leasing company to a Finance company, his leadership will prove to be an asset to the company’s growth.
Orient Finance is a fully owned subsidiary of Orient Capital, which is a 100 percent equity financed company with diverse capital market services to individual and corporate clients with a highly experienced board of directors and senior management. Orient Wealth and First Alliance Money Brokers also come under the OLC umbrella.
