One Transworks Square together with Zhong Tian Ding Hui announced plans to transform the skyline of Colombo with South Asia’s tallest building.
‘The One’, a triad of towers being built at Transworks Square Colombo, is designed to become a landmark destination in Sri Lanka. Spanning 376 metres in 92 floors, The One tower at completion will be South Asia’s tallest tower to date. It will comprise of a combination of luxury residences, offices, a luxury retail mall, banqueting, dining experiences including the Sky Bar, a multiple-storey car park and a helipad. The 80 storey Ritz-Carlton Tower will house the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and The Residences. The third tower, which will also be occupied by a global hospitality brand, will span 291 metres covering 77 floors. Meanwhile, the historic Transworks Building will be converted to a Heritage Plaza.
Designed around the tagline ‘Where Legacy Resides’, The One, along with magnificent views of Colombo, will bring many firsts to Sri Lanka’s real estate landscape including being the country’s first edifice complete with glass facades.

Steven Song, Deputy General Manager, ZTDH Investments said that in lieu of skilled labour and material requirements for the project, they are considering to establish a centre for skilled labour training as well as material production facilities in Sri Lanka. He added that while the Ritz-Carlton Tower is planned to be handed over to the client by 2021, The One is scheduled to be completed by 2023.
