People’s Leasing and Finance receiving the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Verification certificate.
People’s Leasing and Finance has obtained an independently verified Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Verification Certificate for the financial year 2025/26, in compliance with the international standard ISO 14064-1:2018, reaffirming its commitment to environmental responsibility, accountability, and sustainable development. The verification was conducted by Sri Lanka Climate Fund (SLCF), operating under the Ministry of Environment.
The official presentation of the certificate was held under the patronage of Deputy Minister of Environment Jayakody.
The independent assessment confirmed that the GHG emissions inventory of the People’s Leasing Group was prepared in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2018 and verified in compliance with ISO 14064-3:2019.
The assessment covered operations under the Group’s operational control, including its Head Office, 112 branches, six vehicle yards, two holiday resorts, and six subsidiary companies, providing a comprehensive evaluation of its environmental footprint.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in the Group’s efforts to systematically measure, manage, and report its environmental impact.
Independent verification against internationally recognized standards further enhances the credibility, accuracy, and transparency of its environmental reporting practices. People’s Leasing continues to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into its business operations, extending its sustainability commitments beyond environmental conservation.
