Pan Asia Bank, one of Sri Lanka’s largest B2B remittance providers, has launched its new ‘Remit Max’ product suite, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening the country’s formal inward remittance ecosystem while offering innovative financial solutions for migrant workers and their families. The launch, held in Kurunegala, brought together the Bank’s Chairman, Director/CEO, and Corporate Management team, alongside senior officials from the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) and representatives of leading licensed foreign employment agencies from the Kurunegala and Dambulla regions.
A key highlight was the introduction of the Remit Max Savings Account and the Remit Max Pre-Departure Loan Facility. The savings account is designed to encourage formal inward remittances while promoting disciplined savings, long-term financial security, and stronger banking relationships through a range of exclusive benefits for migrant workers and their families. The pre-departure loan facility supports aspiring overseas employees by financing expenses such as agency fees, documentation, medical examinations, visa processing, and travel costs. Together, the two products provide comprehensive financial support throughout the migrant worker journey—from pre-departure preparations to remittance management and long-term financial stability after returning to Sri Lanka. The event also featured detailed product presentations and an interactive discussion with Pan Asia Bank and SLBFE representatives, with foreign employment agencies expressing strong interest in future collaboration. Naleen Edirisinghe, Director/CEO, said the initiative reflects the Bank’s commitment to delivering meaningful value beyond remittance transactions, while Chairman Aravinda Perera noted that Remit Max was developed after understanding the evolving needs of migrant workers, reaffirming Pan Asia Bank’s dedication to supporting customers throughout their financial lifecycle.
