
The Bank of Ceylon opened its Badalgama branch, yet another step towards delivering a modern banking experience and efficient service to customers. The new branch strength-ens the Bank’s extensive network of over 660 branches and more than 2,400 custom-er service centers across the island.
Through this network, customers can seamlessly conduct banking transactions nationwide, enhancing convenience and accessibility. The branch offers a comprehensive range of financial services tailored to meet diverse customer needs. These include savings accounts, fixed deposits, investment plans, housing and personal loans, education loans, leasing facilities, and pawning services, as well as a range of specialized loan offerings. Customers can also access a full suite of banking services at the branch, including debit and credit card facilities, international money transfers, and remittance services, enabling both local and global financial transactions. The event was graced by Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando, Minister of Labor and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, as the Chief Guest. Also in attendance were Chairman of the Divulapitiya Pradeshiya Sabha M.J. Vikumthilaka, Divi-sional Secretary, Divulapitiya Manel Kumari, Chairman, BOC, Kavinda de Zoysa, General Manager and CEO, Y.A. Jayathilaka, Acting Chief Operating Officer R.M.N. Jeewantha, Deputy General Manager (Branch Operations) Priyal Silva, Chief Marketing Officer Sameera Liyanage, Assistant General Manager (Marketing) Buddhika Premaratne, and Assistant General Manager (Western Province North) Sudath Liyanage. Members of the Bank’s senior management, branch staff, customers, and other invited guests were also present. In conjunction with the branch opening, students who achieved top grades at the GCE Advanced Level Examination were recognized and awarded in appreciation of their academic excellence, and W.P. Nethmi Kaveesha of Rathnawali Balika Vidyalaya, Gampaha, was a recipient too.
