HUTCH marked a key milestone with its Pinnacle Awards, a distinctive employee recognition event for the year ended 2025, celebrating the people behind its rapid growth and transformation. At the core of the awards was a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration, moving beyond traditional departmental silos and individual recognition. This shift reflects HUTCH’s evolving organizational culture, which prioritizes teamwork, innovation, and collective performance.
In recent years, HUTCH has followed a dynamic growth trajectory, challenging industry norms and fostering a culture of empowerment, resilience, and employee fulfillment. These efforts have resulted in consecutive double-digit growth over the past three years, making it the only telecom operator in Sri Lanka to achieve this milestone. The Pinnacle Awards recognized excellence across multiple categories, including Innovation, Process Enhancement, Execution, Unity, Customer Impact, Digital Transformation, Culture Impact, Value Creation, and Best Project. A key highlight was the New Horizon Award, which honored teams that explored opportunities beyond the company’s core business, demonstrating long-term vision and bold thinking. Nominations were open to all employees, with finalists selected through a transparent and inclusive judging process. Beyond the awards, the event served as a celebration of unity and pride within the HUTCH community.
The evening featured entertainment segments and opportunities for employees to showcase their creative talents, creating an atmosphere that blended achievement with celebration. It also provided a platform for colleagues to connect, reflect on shared successes, and celebrate collective progress. Saumitra Gupta, CEO, stated that the Pinnacle Awards go beyond recognition, underscoring the company’s belief that its people are the driving force behind its success. He emphasized that while achievements should inspire pride, they should also fuel ambition for greater success.
In 2025, HUTCH was also recognized at the Great HR Awards and Best Employer Brands, reinforcing its commitment to people excellence aligned with its parent company CK Hutchison Holdings’ sustainability goals.
