SLT-MOBITEL Mobile has set a new benchmark in Sri Lanka’s digital journey, achieving the country’s highest-ever 5G speeds, surpassing 10Gbps on its advanced 5G Standalone (SA)–ready network under TRCSL 5G trial approval.

The trial demonstrated several 5G Advanced capabilities, including Massive MIMO, 5CC carrier aggregation in the C-band, and mmWave spectrum usage—setting a new standard for mobile connectivity in the country. Alongside this technical achievement, SLT-MOBITEL has expanded its 5G trial network to 18 districts, strengthening its readiness for a commercial 5G rollout with broader nationwide coverage.
